China has invited the world to visit in August 2008. Exactly one year out, I've traveled to the heart of the nation that has brutally occupied my homeland for over 50 years. Follow this blog, as I share what I see, feel, and experience... leaving Beijing wide open.

Flattering the Dalai Lama

The one who always says about the truth may not act in accordance with the truth. Dalai Lama was just this kind of person.

I was surprised after visiting dalailama.com. Besides teaching the Tibetan Buddhism, Dalai Lama made a full show of his personal reputation on the website. More than 80 awards were given to Dalai Lama, such as Nobel Prize, USA Congressional Gold Medal and honorary citizenship of Paris, etc. The fourteenth Dalai Lama is just as proud as an ordinary person in dealing with these awards.

Among the famous religious person, I admire Master Hsing Yun the best. He strives for spread Buddhism all his life. He always explains political points from Buddhism perspective. Dalai didn’t do things like Master Hsing Yun. He is more like a politician. His augural decisions become standing joke for many people. He was denounced by many people for his deeds of only respecting for Tibetan religion. Even if we don’t request the living Buddha see the truth of everything, Dalai Lama fail to act his words. What surprised me most was the points Dalai Lama made on his own death. He hopes to die lonely like a solider. The points had a great distance with his preview points in Sleepng, Dreaming and Dying.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta didn’t say of loving people, but act her words all her life. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi Led the Indians to get rid of the colonial control of Britain. The reason for his success was not to flee abroad and ask others for help. If Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela went to the United States by houseboat instead of going to jail, I am not sure whether he could be the President of South Africa.

Some one compares the fourteenth Dalai Lama with Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. I think it flattered Dalai a lot more.

I only hope that the old aged Dalai Lama could get rid of the political burble and pray for the world.
