A (Brief) Close Encounter

After missing IOC President Jacques Rogge by seconds on Monday, I decided to head back to the the lobby of his Beijing hotel this morning and wait for him. The video’s not the best but check out our brief encounter…

    Jacques Rogge what are you scared of? Lhadon only wants to ask you a few questions, and hear if you and the other IOC members are going to engage the Chinese in addressing their human rights violations. Why run away from such a conversation? By being the president of such a body, this is part of your role, to engage with people and institutions. I hope you do schedule a meeting with Lhadon this week.

    i pray that you get to meet jacques Rogge and we all how important it is for him to make a statement regarding the Human Rights in Tibet.
