Interview with Jamyang Norbu final part
“…whatever happens, what I see is a future of complete uncertainty in China and in such a situation Tibetans must never - it would be absolutely irresponsibly foolish to - give up the struggle for Tibetan independence. It is out of such conditions that Tibet has been independent.” - Jamyang Norbu
This is the third and final part of my interview with acclaimed Tibetan writer and activist Jamyang Norbu. He talks about an uncertain future in China and what it could mean for the Tibetan freedom struggle, Spielberg’s involvement in the Beijing Games and his belief that the Tibetan Government in Exile should be more active in leading the opposition to next year’s Olympics in China.
You can watch part 1 here and watch part 2 here.

“Final Part” - ? Bummer! Hope to get more. Is there ANY contingent in the Government-in-Exile that wants to get involved? Anyone for us to encourage?
“The Mandala of Sherlock Holmes” is brilliant, a word I don’t use lightly. Can’t wait to read next book. Does Jamyang Norbu ever come to L.A.? - Camis

Spielberg’s hypocrisy is AMAZING……he did the movie “SCHINDLER’S LIST”….lest we ever think to forget about the holocaust. And now he supports China’s holocaust of Tibetans? Why? Because of his ego? Producing the ‘biggest show on earth?’ Disgusting!
Along with boycotting ‘made in China’ goods, Spielberg should be held accountable for his propaganda ‘assistance’ to the Chinese Govt…maybe a letter writing/email campaign….If your brave architect can do it, surely Spielberg can walk away?
BTW, here is that link I promised on Boycotting chinese goods until TIBET IS FREE

We should urge all participants in the olympics to raise their fist in the air in solidarity with the tibetan people struggle for justice, when they win their gold, silver or bronze medals, their national song is playing and all the world eyes are focused on them.
Maybe SFT could arrange for a website with more activist information for olympic participants with conscience, it could have a name like:
“www.raiseyourfistfortibet.org” or something like that…

Of course, the best thing is if they could also bring a tibetan flag or have something written in their hand/face/t-shirt which they could show the camera etc. etc.

I just finished watching an old Documentary (2003) Tibet: The Cry of The Snow Lion. I was trying to write a post on my blog and did some searching and came to your blog! Fabulous blog and great interview!
I am flabbergasted that OUR WORLD would allow China to Host the Olympics.
I was in China last year. It was a bitter sweet trip. The Tibetan injustice has always weighed heavy in my heart and mind, and I was amazed to be standing in the country that has caused soo much heartache and evil, yet I was there to adopt my sweet daughter.
I hope to see a resolution very soon. I have seen the Dalai Lama speak a few times, and I hope that he sees this resolution in this lifetime!

no matter how terrible people act, we don’t have a right to judge them. We are just to express our minds, and don’t have to pay attention what other people look like, what’s their real face. It doesn’t matter for me, if someone will say anything about me, I know what I really deserve, and what kind of person I really am.

Tashi Delek Lhadon La. thank you for everything, but why did you show Tibetan map? In the world theres only the Lhasa map. We have Amdo - Kham- U-tsang- 3 parts. Those 3 parts we call Tibet. You help to China, the Chinese only call Lhasa Tibet please don’t do this kind stuff again, I’m so sorry for that and thank you very much for your hard work. Thug ge
